Dear Shippers!

Pakistan’s Maritime Affairs Minister Qaiser Ahmed Sheikh is due to visit Denmark this month, for the signing of a MoU between Denmark-based global shipping giant, AP Moller–Maersk (Maersk), and the Karachi Port Trust (KPT), Pakistani state media reported.

According to Pakistan’s information ministry, Maersk has grown into a leading provider of logistics and supply-chain services across Pakistan, having a 20 % market share in Pakistan’s containerized import-export activities.

The deal is valued at $2 billion and will benefit both countries.

The investment for this project will contribute to infrastructure development and economic improvement of the Karachi port.
